Terms of Use

Last updated: August 4, 2026

The short version: the app is sold as is, runs only on your Mac, and the only destructive thing it does is move files to the Trash, always after you confirm. Reviewing what you accept stays with you.

01Acceptance

By installing or using Downloads Inbox you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the app, or uninstall it if you already have.

02What the app does

Downloads Inbox reads your Downloads folder and organises files by where they came from, showing the source of each one and whether you ever opened it. It offers suggestions and a report on the folder.

Suggestions stay suggestions. The app never moves, renames or discards anything on its own.

03Actions on files

Discarding always means the system Trash, never permanent deletion. You can recover any file through Finder until you empty the Trash.

Every action that changes files goes through a confirmation listing what will be affected. Reviewing that list before you confirm is still your responsibility.

Keeping a backup routine such as Time Machine is worth it. That holds for any app that touches your files, not only this one.

04Licence

Your purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app. The licence is tied to your Apple ID and covers the Macs where you use that Apple ID, following Mac App Store rules.

Reselling, redistributing, decompiling or reverse engineering the app is not permitted, except where law grants that right regardless of contract.

05Payment and refunds

Payment is one time, with no subscription and no recurring charge. The free version keeps working with no deadline.

Apple processes all purchases. Refund requests follow App Store policy and must go to Apple, who handled the transaction.

06Warranty and liability

The app is provided as is, without warranty that it will be free of errors or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss, lost profits or indirect damages arising from use of the app. Nothing here removes rights that consumer law grants you.

07Availability and changes

The app may receive updates that change, add or remove features. We may stop selling it at any time; if that happens, everyone who already bought it keeps using and redownloading their version through the App Store.

08Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
